Kate NV at Commend
We have rescheduled this impromptu performance from Kate NV to Wednesday, April 13 at 7:30 pm.Kate is in New York City temporarily after leaving her home in Moscow not soon after the events in the Ukraine at the end of February. Her travels brought her through Istanbul before New York, and will bring her back to Europe next week, where she is schedule for a visa appointment that would allow her to travel freely to and from the US as a performing artist.
Kate has stayed safe and sound these past several weeks, and is looking at playing, and releasing, music as a purposeful undertaking amidst so much turmoil. She is using Tuesday night's forum at Commend to raise money for Helping To Leave, an organization that aids people seeking evacuation from areas of military conflict. All proceeds from your $15.00 ticket will be donated to Helping To Leave.
As with our recent Chihei Hatakeyama performance (thanks to all that came), we are keeping these event details contained to this communication for now. Please do not share this event publicly (pass the link to your friends, tho!) in the interest of keeping a dedicated space for Kate. We do encourage you to learn more about Helping to Leave, and if inspired, share their story and mission.
